SOLIHULL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL – TOY CHRISTMAS TREE DONATION
Guided by our values and spirit of giving, this Christmas, we are pleased to announce that we will be donating £1000 worth of toys to be put under the Christmas tree at Solihull Children’s Hospital Outpatients Department, with the purpose to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and put smiles on their faces.
The toy tree will be jam packed with toys and gifts with the idea that each child visiting is taken by a nurse to the tree and allowed to select a gift. It is a beautiful tree and we can just imagine the delight on each child’s face when they are told they are allowed to take one of the toys from it!
Supporting children when they need it most.
Being in hospital over Christmas is never easy, and this year is going to be particularly hard. Many patients will be unable to have visitors due to the on-going pandemic and staff will be spending a lot of time away from their families, with the past year being the hardest they’ve faced in the NHS.
We therefore couldn’t be prouder to support the Children’s Outpatients Department with the aim to make Christmas a little more special for everyone in 2020.
Our £1000 donation will help go towards supplying all the children who are spending their Christmas in Solihull Children’s Hospital with an abundant of toys and gifts. We hope this donation will help to bring some festive spirit to the Solihull Hospital, allowing the staff’s hard work and the patients perseverance through 2020 to be given recognition and rewarded.
It was great to visit the hospital on Monday 7th December to deliver our £1000 donation in person, and see how the money will be spent towards a brilliant, heart warming cause. 2020 has been a very difficult year for many of us, but we are happy to continue to support and stand with our community wherever we can.
We hope the children of Solihull Children’s Hospital Outpatient Department enjoy their toys and gifts and their Christmas spirit is boosted.
